Trip to Manila

We had to make a trip to Manila to get our visas done! Its only an hour flight from Bacolod so not bad at all... Payson loves airplanes and loves flying! He thinks that everyone at the airport and on the planes want to be his best friend! He is so funny he will go stand in front of them and then squat down a little bit and then yell at them like aren't you going to talk to me! So funny!! Our flight to Manila was at 6:30 a.m. so we had to be to the airport at 4:30 a.m. Nothing like an early morning! We got there and it was packed full of people! It took us awhile to check in so we didn't have long of a sitting wait which was nice! We got to Manila at 7:30 a.m. and took a cab to our hotel! We had to wait there for an hour because a room wasn't ready because we got there so early! Payson was exhausted and ready for a nap because he had been up since 4:30 a.m. and Landon was exhausted and ready to sleep because he worked the night before and was going on no sleep! I got this sweet photo on the airplane of these two ready to fall asleep right has the plane landed in Manila!

 

After the long wait in the lobby to get to the hotel room we finally got to our room and these two got to take a nap!! I feel like I am always posting pictures of these two napping!! I guess it is because it is what they do best!!:) Payson was out like a light and we ended up having to wake him up after I think a 3 hour nap so that we could go get things done!

 

We went and did some fun things while we were there! We went to this huge aquarium that had resturants in it and shopping centers and of course tons of animals! We bought a pass that let us go and look at sea lions swimming around, see a sea lion show, look through the fish aquarium, and see the jelly fish! We didn't think that Payson would really notice the sea lions but boy were we wrong! He loved them! He sat and watched them swim around and wanted to jump in with them, and tried to touch them through the glass...

 



 

Then there was the sea lion show he LOVED it!! I tried to upload videos to you tube and put it on here but our internet is so slow that it wouldn't upload! He was restless at first waiting for the sea lion show to start because it was so so hot and he wanted to get down and walk! But once the show started he stood on Landons lap and didn't take his eyes off of the sea lions! Just keep in mind that he is the only white baby there so he sticks out like a sore thumb and the whole time he was standing on Landons lap and he was dancing to the music and clapping at the sea lions and yelling at the top of his lungs pointing to the sea lions!! I was embarrassed because I knew everyone was starring at us and I hate the attention but I was glad that he was having a good time!

The fish and jelly fish aquariums were way cool! There was huge fish!! Probably some of the biggest fish that I have ever seen were in the aquarium! One of the coolest parts was that there was a tunnel that you would walk through that was all glass full of water and fish swimming all around you and above you! It was pretty cool! Then the jelly fish were cool they were all shapes and sizes and colors!

 

The pictures posted out of order but before we went to the aquarium we went to a United States Cemetary of all the U.S. fallen soldiers in the war... There are hundreds of thousands of crosses of buried soldiers that died in the war! Then there are walls and walls of names that they never ever found the bodies of the fallen soldiers. They keep the place in tip top shape and you aren't allowed on the grass! Julie told us that it is owned by U.S. government and they keep it in way good conditon... She said if it was owned by Philippine people then the grass would be dead ha she is funny! These are pictures of the walls with all of the soldiers names! They have them all in alphabetical order and in different sections for like the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and stuff like that!

 

 

Payson is a goofball and loves to try on Landons sunglasses and give him kisses!

 

This next picture if my favorite by far!! Landon and I both didn't want to change Paysons poopy bum so we decided to play rock, paper, scissors! Whoever lost had to change the poopy bum so we did best out of 3! I won the first one, Landon won the second one, and Landon won the third one! And guess who changed the bum???? LANDON!!!! I have the best husband ever!!!

 

 

The hotel that we stayed in was nice! It even had awesome movie channels that we haven't had since we have lived out here!! If you ask Payson he would tell you that he was super stoked for the T.V. Channels that we got! He got to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for the first time in a month and he loved it!! He was trying to climb up the fridge to touch all the fun characters! He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

 

At the hotel the lobby had games that you could play! We were looking for something to do so we decided to go down and play a game! I introduced Landon to a game and taught him how to play! He lost and I said lets play another game and he said no that game wasn't fun and really he was pouting because he lost because he hates to loose! We can't play board games together!! So here is a picture of his pouty face!

 

And last but not least they of course had a merry go round in the mall there and Payson of course had to ride it!!! Lucky Landon gets to ride the merry go round every time Payson sees one! Don't let him fool you... He really loves to ride them! He is a little kid at heart!
