Trip to Cebu

We had to take a quick trip to Cebu on Wednesday to get our visas, cell phones, and to check out the store there that is like Costco or Sams Club it's called S&R.. Our flight to leave to Cebu was at 7:30 so we had to be to the airport two hours early so we had to leave our hotel at 5 to get there at 5:30! The flight is only 25-30 minutes long so it was going to be a trip there and back on the same day! Well it turned out that our flight got delayed because of engine problems! You can bet I was freaking out and told Landon that we should probably stay home and go the next day, because who wants to get on an airplane that has engine problems?? We knew we needed to go so we sat in the airport until 12:00 our plane finally was ready to go! Lets just say it was a dang good thing that the Bacolod Airport has a children play place.. Payson was in heaven playing with the other kids and the toys! If I would pick him up to take him away from the toys he would throw a massive fit! The kids there loved him and learned his name that when we got on the plane they were a couple of rows up from us that they were yelling his name to talk to him, and when we were getting off the plane they were talking to him and making him laugh!! He loved having kid interaction, because lets face it Landon and I are pretty boring! From our flight being delayed we had to change our coming home flight to the next day so that we had time to get everything done that we needed to do!

When we got to Cebu we got a taxi and headed to the Globe store to get our phones. We met with the guy we were getting them from and he wasn't quite ready so we left to go do other stuff until he was ready! Julie had the taxi drop us off at S&R to do our shopping while she went to get our visas! First thing was first when we got there we were starving! So we went and got a pizza and some drinks! It was honestly the best pizza Landon and I have had in our lives! We loved it! After we got done eating we started walking the aisles! At the exact same time Landon and I both said that we felt like we were at home! It was so nice to have a little bit of home with us and be able to shop like we were at Sams Club! I don't know if many of you know but in Bacolod they don't have dairy! So they only have like fake milk or powdered milk! So I was so excited to go to this store to get Payson some real Vitamin D milk! The only downfall of this store is it is expensive to buy dairy!! For a half gallon of milk it was $5! Cheese was really expensive so we passed on buying that! Everything we bought was for Payson except for mini Reeses Peanut Butter Cups for me!!:) It was a good experience there and we decided we will be going back probably once a month to Cebu to go to the Temple there and to buy groceries that we need at S&R..

 

After we were done there we went back to Globe and picked up our cell phones! We are for sure spoiiled we got brand new I Phone 5's... We love them!!:) The best part of having a phone is being able to tell the time! Landon and I would be somewhere and there would be no clocks and we would ask each other what time it was and we would never know it would drive us crazy, and of course being able to communicate with family a little better while we are out of the hotel room!!:)

 

After we ran all of our errands we went to the hotel and got checked in! It was such a nice hotel and I told myself I needed to take pictures of it and I of course didn't!!! I did get some pictures tho of the pool and some cool things that we did... First we went and ate at some chicken place it was really yummy! Then we got back to the hotel and had seen in the elevator that you could go meet a tiger at the hotel! Well Payson loves animals so we decided we would go and do it! On the poster it said it was a baby tiger but when we showed up it was a huge full grown tiger!!! I was scared out of my mind to get close to it because they had to wake it up for us to get a picture with it and it was growling.. But we all put on our brave faces and got behind it and took pictures!!! Payson loved it... He loved petting the tiger and just starring at it!! He 's obsessed with animals and took in the whole experience.. There was also a huge yellow snake there that he just starred at for a good minute without blinking, then finally said OOOOOOOO! He wanted to touch the snake but I didn't dare let him in fear his hand would get bit off!! But he did get to pet the tiger and loved it!!

 

 

 

We had a good fun experience in Cebu! Our flight to go home on Thursday morning was at 8:30 so we had to be up at 5 to leave at 5:30 to be to the airport early! I think we are going to be getting used to early mornings here! But our flight didn't get delayed and we got home on time so we were excited about that!!!
